Sarah (Sally) Griffiths

Sarah Griffiths (Sally) is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has been in private practice for twenty one years. She is working in the Traumatic Death Bereavement Service in the H.S.E. for nine years. Sally previously worked as a volunteer counsellor with a Listening Service- Talk it Over- with suicide bereaved.

For the past six years she has practiced as a counsellor with Console, a Suicide Bereavement Service until recently. Sally has delivered training modules on the original Training Programme for the Carers Association. She also facilitated a group called Parenting with a Difference, for parents who care for children with special needs.

Sally believes that each of us has the capacity within ourselves to regulate our lives and to achieve greater happiness. She believes that Self-Awareness and Self- Care are the basis for this. She offers this service with great respect, compassion and commitment to her clients. She believes confidentiality is a vital ingredient for any of this sensitive work. Sally also believes a sense of humour is a great asset.

Joan Etchingham

Joan Etchingham has been a fully accredited member of IACP since 2003.

Joan worked in I.T. in Dublin for many years and after returning to Wexford worked as an I.T. trainer with FAS. Her warm emphatic nature led her to trainer as a counsellor and psychotherapist with the Tivoli Institute in Dublin as well as undertaking a Degree in Psychology.

Joan provides a safe supportive non-judgemental environment where people can explore their personal challenges at their own pace. She has experience of working with a wide variety of issues with a particular interest in the areas of loss and bereavement. Joan believes that by helping the person to explore whatever is going on in their life they will find better ways of dealing with their challenges.

Joan has worked with Console for many years and has completed ‘Asist’ Training for Suicide Training with the HSE.

Joan has a private practise in Wexford town and continues to update her skills.
